This is an new item in a sealed box.

Once a common sight on big city harbors, the Modern Fireboat was a specialized version of the familiar tugboat. In order to improve visibility the Modern Diesel Fireboat was built with a taller pilot house.

Starting in the 1920s, many Fire departments with harbors began modernizing their fleets with diesel-electric Fireboats. Not only did they use similar technology to the then-new diesel locomotives, many were painted in the same colorful schemes. These newer tugs remained in service for years, with a few serving new owners yet today.

Ready to handle chores in any busy HO harbor, the Modern Diesel Fireboat builds into a detailed replica of the later diesel-electric designs. It features the tall pilot house, along with various roof details, towing bitts, masts, cranes and a host of other details. The most prevalent of course, are the high pressure fire nozzles for fighting fires both along the shore and on the water.

Team this up the the Disel Tugboar (sold separately) Bulk Commodity Barge (sold separately) or the Covered River Barge (sold separately) and bring that river scene along the railway line to life.

Add a the Lighthouse as seen in the background (sold separately) along with its lighted rotary beacon and add the Waterfront / Foghorn Sound Module (sold separately) for a complete and animated waterfront scene.

Complete instructions simplify construction and decals are also included.

The kit builds into a waterline model with no lower hull detail, so it's easy to add to your new or existing scenery.

Your completed model is perfect for use with the Railroad Car Float and Carfloat Apron each (sold separately), or any of the other facilities in the Waterfront series.

• For MTH items If the unit is run then normal factory warranty would apply and MTH would directly handle any warranty issues.
• On New power units Factory Warrantees apply and are handled directly by the manufacturer under the terms of their warranty agreement.

SHIPPING: SHIPPING is done Monday thru Friday normally within 1 day of receiving payment. Sometime a delay does occur due to weather or the commercial carriers we use to deliver the packages. All customers receive an email notifying them of the scheduled delivery date at the time of shipping along with the tracking number of the package.

FREE SHIPPING: FREE SHIPPING ONLY applies to packages shipped domestically within the continental United States. Shipping outside the 48 states pay quoted shipping costs.
